The Robodyssey Mini Challenge
The Robodyssey Mini Challenge is a great way to get kids excited about robots and
computer programming. In the Robodyssey Mini Challenge, kids get exposure to real
computer programming as they prepare their robot for the challenge. The Challenge
is a maze where kids have to program their robot to navigate a minefield of
robot swallowing holes. Participants start off by programming the robot to
"speak" to them via a wired link to their computer. Next, kids get to work on
getting the robots to travel a given distance, turn and return to them.
The climax event is a nail biting, nerve wracking challenge that gives kids
a view into the world of autonomous robots.
Participants will get to work with programming skills based around
Microsoft'sTM Visual BasicTM
language.

Very little typing is required since the Robodyssey Mini Challenge uses a code generator
