There is an important difference from the book here.

I moved the motor driver chip from PortB pins 0,1,2,5,6,7 to PortB pins 0,1,2,3,4,5.
This may elliminate some errors that are occuring from sharing PortB pins 6 and 7
with programming.

Locate your 16 pin L293 driver chip. Inset it into the holes starting with E29 as shown.
Pay close attention to the chip notch.
When it is completed it should look like this:
